Cabela’s African Adventures is an action-hunting game from Activision that drops you into the heart of the African wilderness. Explore broad, open regions across savannas, deserts, and jungles as you track iconic species, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant. Swap between on-foot stalking and fast vehicle travel while you follow tracks, read the wind, and line up ethical shots.
Played from a third-person perspective, the game emphasizes movement and positioning, with a reflex aiming mode to target vital zones and counter sudden charges. The campaign blends guided hunts, boss-style encounters, and optional challenges, while arcade-inspired shooting galleries provide quick, high-intensity bursts of action. Earn upgrades, unlock new firearms and gear, and fill out your trophy room as you progress.
Balancing approachable controls with light simulation elements, Cabela’s African Adventures delivers a mix of careful tracking and adrenaline-fueled set pieces, all set against a dramatic safari backdrop.
